Ben Carson might be one of the most brilliant Neurosurgeons in the history of America, but he also has been one the dumbest politicians in recent memory, maybe ever. His campaign has been riddled with completely inaccurate statements, confusing rhetoric and at times, very poor sentence structure (which I can sympathize with). The most recent gaffe was at this Saturday’s Republican Presidential Debate where Carson quoted one of the most famous enemies of freedom, Joseph Stalin.
Joseph Stalin once said “If you want to bring America down, you have to undermine 3 things, our spiritual life, our patriotism and our morality” – BEN CARSON
It turns out Carson did not get that from Joseph Stalin, but a viral right wing Facebook meme that was probably created by your uncle. You know its 2016 when our Presidential candidates are getting their facts from Facebook memes… I thought that was strictly reserved for use by our begrudged Grandparents??? Nope!! It’s now taken a leap forward to Presidential politics…. and in case you are wondering, this isn’t the first time a presidential candidate quoted a right winged Facebook meme… take a wild guess who else did it.
Yep! my boy, Donald J. Trump! But unlike The Donald, Carson quoted this in a PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE. Re-tweeting is one thing, I can sort of get that, but quoting this in a Presidential Debate??? C’mon bro!
To be fair, if no one called Trump out on the Black Crime meme immediately, he would DEFINITELY have been pushing these stats at his next rally, no question. The difference is that with Trump you expect it, with Carson, you don’t. The whole reason he was even in the conversation to become President was due mostly to his perceived intellectual capacity. “The guy was the Head Brain Surgeon at Hopkins, of course he has the smarts to be President” is something you would hear often in Carson support circles. But in reality, having enough ‘political knowledge’ to be on the Presidential stage can take decades to accumulate. This is probably the reason that candidates with zero political experience, NEVER do well in Presidential races. FACT INSERT: We have never elected a President who has not served as either a US Congressmen (Representative or Senator), State Governor or Military General. The knowledge base you need to debate the full spectrum of presidential issues is comparative to well, spending your whole life studying to become a Brain Surgeon. You can’t just watch The Factor on Fox News, read some Breitbart.com and run for President. And I have no evidence to substantiate, but I am going out on a limb and say that’s exactly what Carson did.
Obviously this wasn’t his only stupid moment in the campaign, he probably has more stupid moments than the entire 2012 Presidential field which included Herman Cain and Rick Perry, a couple of Hall Of Fame Gaffers. I couldn’t decide on one so instead I posted a search query and will let you pick your posion.

In case you are reading this and the whole time saying, ‘wait a second, what about Donald J. Trump, he is still the front runner and also said a bunch of stupid shit?’ My response is, STAY TUNED FOR OUR SEQUEL: Smartest Dumb Guy in the Room.
