John Kasich, finishes a “surprising” second place in the New Hampshire Primary, where he announced “Light overcame the Dark”
If that isn’t a setup for a Star Wars reference, than I do not know what is!!
There is one, and only one Republican that I could potentially see myself voting for in the General Election, and that is John Richard Kasich.
The fact that John Kasich does not have more support is completely mind boggling. The guy is probably the most qualified candidate in the race, INCLUDING Hilary Clinton.
John Kasich Resume:
- Elected to the US House of Representatives
- Ranking member in the House Armed Services Committee
- Chairman of the House Budget Committee
- He has been on the Board of Directors of Several Corporations – Invacare, Norvax, Lehman Brothers
- He has been the Governor of a notorious battle ground Purple State, Ohio
Okay, so a guy who has congressional experience, a guy that has been involved in Armed Services legislation, a guy who oversaw House Budget proposals, a guy who has legitimate private sector experience and a guy who has run a State Government before… I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the type of guy who is fit to be President.
Those that argue experience does not matter are just stupid, complete morons. I never understood why we think someone with absolutely no experience in government, should hold office. NOT TO MENTION, the HIGHEST office in the land. Please, for the love of god, someone tell me why this makes sense???
I don’t want someone flying a commercial airliner who has no training or experience flying a plane. And yea, I know these comparisons can be dumb, but honestly, do you know how to fly a commercial airliner? Do you know the intricacies of being President of the United States? No, you fucking don’t and neither does Donald Trump for that matter.
But okay, regardless of the positions he has held, the guy has GOT SHIT DONE. Whether its cutting federal or state budgets, challenging wasteful defense spending, growing the economy, championing education, working across the aisle, the guy GETS SHIT DONE. I am not going to list them all because it would take a whole another blog, but use the GOOGLE machine and look it up, the dude is for real.

Also, the guy has IDEAS, whoa… I know, that’s a new word in the republican party, but yes he has Ideas. Common sense, reasonable ideas that could help drive our economy and balance our budget, AND he is the ONLY Republican candidate with a budget that actually balances over time, in a RESPONSIBLE manner.
Lastly, if you ask any Democrat who they fear the most in a General election, it’s John Kasich… by far. Why? Well first off, he almost guarantees that you win Ohio, a monumentally important state in a General Election. More importantly, they fear him because the guy isn’t batshit crazy like the rest of the candidates. He has a long track record of working across the aisle, which I believe, is one of the biggest factors in the decision making process for undecided voters in a General election.
To be clear, there are plenty of areas that I disagree with Johnny boy, I just think that a reasonable, moderate debate between Hilary Clinton and John Kasich, is what is best for our country. We need to talk about how to get shit done in our current two-party system, not why Red is ignorant and Blue just doesn’t get it. Lets get shit done! And those two will pave the best path forward.
Let us all pray to the dear Lord Baby Jesus that with Kasich’s second place finish in New Hampshire, Republicans wake up and realize that we actually have a country to run, this isn’t a fucking reality show and we need someone qualified, experienced, with good ideas that can work across the aisle to run our country… not some blowhard who has ZERO idea of how to run a country or at the very least, behave like he is potentially running a country of 319 million (I’m speaking of Trump of course).
